With My Sweet Messenger
With my sweet messenger
I fell in love.
What a falcon majestic
flew from above!
In great, his sweetest wonder
on roof he stand,
lovely plumage he washing
in perfect blend.
Who are you, wonder falcon,
from where you come?
What the message you carry,
of ages gone?
Who sent you, wonder falcon,
in front of me,
on the roof, in my garden,
by lilac tree?
Ages long to recount
you seem to know,
in your being so wondrous,
across the bow!
You are peaceful and tender,
so washing, sweet,
many worlds to remember
pulse in your greet.
Dropping jaw, in such wonder
I look at you,
dreaming far, far in future,
to marvels due…
