Tell me, where have all the Flowers gone?
Wondrous Butterflies, where all have left?
Why mothers and fathers in tears walk Earth,
smashed… in the Love their children all kept…

Tell me, where all the butterflies gone?
No scent and no song from the flowers…
No shiny chrysalis hang from the trees,
in the dew and these sad summer showers…

Joyfully fly swallows sweet through the sky,
full of passion sings amsel all morning…
But the flowers are gone, and the butterflies too,
and the sadness in mothers is growing…

Armies fight with no aim, and the death has no end,
huge cemeteries cover now ground…
For the flowers are gone, and the butterflies too,
children laughter nowhere do sound…
